RESISTING AN OFFICER WITH FORCE OR VIOLENCE

KLOTZVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Colby S. Lowery, 28, of 206 Belle Rose Lane, Belle Rose, LA, on felony charges following a Sunday evening traffic stop.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near Klotzville and initiated a stop.

At some point during the deputy / driver interview, Lowery became unruly and rather abrasive. The deputy attempted to detain Lowery for officer / violator safety, but he resisted those efforts, leading to a struggle.

Colby S. Lowery was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Marijuana
*Speeding
*Resisting an Officer by Force or Violence

Lowery was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
