SHERIFF’S S.W.A.T. UNIT CONDUCTS ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING

PIERRE PART – On Wednesday, The Sheriff’s S.W.A.T. Unit conducted active shooter training at the Pierre Part Elementary School.

The training covered all aspects of offensive and defensive training throughout the school.

“While we hope we never have to deploy to any facility or an active shooter, we must be prepared for any event that occurs,” Sheriff Leland Falcon said. “Our objective is to end any event peacefully and without any students, staff, or civilian casualties.”

Sheriff Falcon thanks the entire school system for their support and use of facilities.
