SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE, DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – I.C.E. ARREST – KAITLIN ALIDA CHEDOTAL, JARED MCKINLEY GROS SIMONEAUX
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kaitlin Alida Chedotal, 28, of 7405 Highway 1, Donaldsonville, LA, arising from a suspicious vehicle investigation originating on LA 1008 late Tuesday evening.
An I.C.E. assigned deputy observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway on LA 1008. As the deputy approached, the suspect vehicle drove off. The vehicle was stopped in the area of LA 402 near LA 1.
The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Jared McKinley Gros Simoneaux, 30, of 7405 Highway 1, Donaldsonville, LA and conducted an officer / violator interview. The deputy noted someone seated in the vehicle and moving swiftly inside. The deputy removed the female occupant, now identified as Kaitlin Alida Chedotal. Both Simoneaux and Chedotal were detained. At the conclusion of the interviews, the deputy believed additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested and was granted permission to search the vehicle. During the search process, a quantity of prescription pills were recovered and attributed to Chedotal, and she did not possess a prescription for that medication.
Kaitlin Alida Chedotal was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Obstruction of Justice
*Resisting an Officer
*Sale, Distribution or Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription or Order Prohibited
Kaitlin Alida Chedotal remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Jared McKinley Gros Simoneaux was issued a citation for stopping, standing, or parking outside a business or residence. He was released with a court date.
