THEFT – OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Chad M. Joseph, 29, of 155 Highway 1003, Belle Rose, LA, in connection with a theft that occurred on Thursday.

Deputies responded to a complaint from an individual who reported that while visiting a local convenience store, he thought he may have left his wallet. The man returned to the store and was able to view video surveillance which depicted an individual picking the victim’s wallet off the counter.

Deputies reviewed the same video material and were able to identify the suspect as Chad M. Joseph. Deputies located Joseph on Saturday and when confronted by the evidence, he admitted to having stolen the wallet, removing cash from inside, then throwing the wallet out of a car window.

Chad M. Joseph was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Theft
*Obstruction of Justice

Chad M. Joseph was incarcerated in lieu of $10,000 bond.
