TRAFFIC – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
MARK ANTHONY WILLIAMS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Mark Anthony Williams, 30, of 181B Senator Circle, Houma, LA, on felony drug law violations arising out of a traffic stop on Wednesday afternoon on LA 308 near Napoleonville.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Mark Anthony Williams and engaged in a driver / violator interview. As a result of that interview, the deputy requested consent to search the suspect vehicle which resulted in the seizure of illegal controlled dangerous substances and paraphernalia.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Mark Anthony Williams was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of MDMA
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Proper Equipment Required on Vehicles
Mark Anthony Williams remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
