TRAFFIC STOP / DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
HOBIE PAUL HEBERT, FARRAH N. DOMINGUE
PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Hobie Paul Hebert, 26, of 144 Paul Street, Pierre Part, LA and Farrah N. Domingue, 25, of 317 Shell Beach, Belle River, LA on multiple felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop at LA 70 and South Bay Road on Sunday afternoon.
A uniformed patrol deputy, on special holiday assignment, observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. As the deputy executed the stop, the two occupants switched seating positions. The driver was identified as Hobie Paul Hebert and when ordered to exit the vehicle refused to do so. The deputy was able to remove Hobie Paul Hebert from the vehicle and he was detained.
The remaining occupant, now identified as Farrah N. Domingue, was interviewed by the deputy. At the conclusion of that interview and the results of the initial investigation, the deputy summoned a K-9 unit to the location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle and alerted positive to the presence of illegally controlled dangerous substances.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of marijuana, hydrocodone and oxycodone. Both Hobie Paul Hebert and Farrah N. Domingue were arrested.
Once at the detention center, a more invasive personal search of Hobie Paul Hebert resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cocaine.
Hobie Paul Hebert was booked on charges of:
*Possession of Cocaine
*Taking Contraband to / from a Penal Institution
*Obstruction of Justice
*Driving While Impaired – Third Offense
*Resisting an Officer
*Illegal Window Tint
*Smoking in Motor Vehicle Prohibited
Hobie Paul Hebert remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Farrah N. Domingue was booked on charges of:
*Possession of Hydrocodone
*Possession of Oxycodone
*Smoking in Motor Vehicle Prohibited
*Possession of Marijuana
Farrah N. Domingue remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
