TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
PHILLIP CARL WADE and CHARLES WAYNE ANGE
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Phillip Carl Wade, 49, of 101 Dave Street, Reserve, LA and Charles Wayne Ange, 55, of 2727 Gilchrist Road, Mullins, South Carolina on felony drug charges following a traffic stop early Tuesday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on LA 398 west of Labadieville. The deputy initiated a stop of the vehicle and came into contact with the driver, now identified as Phillip Carl Wade. During the process, it was determined that Wade was driving under a suspended driver’s license.
The deputy interviewed both Wade and a passenger now identified as Charles Wayne Ange.
During the interview process, several factors raised suspicion, prompting the deputy to request consent to search. During the search, the deputy did recover a quantity of suspected meth-amphetamine.
Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center.
Phillip Carl Wade was booked on charges of:
*Speeding
*Driving Under Suspension
*Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
Charles Wayne Ange was booked on charges of:
*Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
Both Phillip Carl Wade and Charles Wayne Ange’s bonds were set at $3,500.
