TRAFFIC STOP, DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – I.C.E. ARREST

PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Stephanie M. Manso, 36, of 11160 Avila Drive, Hammond, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 70 East early Friday morning.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. Unit observed a westbound vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Stephanie M. Manso. The deputy engaged Manso into an officer / violator interview. At the end of that interview, the deputy believed that additional investigation was warranted. The deputy confirmed that Stephanie M. Manso was wanted on a felony fugitive warrant by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The deputy then requested consent to search the suspect vehicle which was granted. During the search process, the deputy recovered assorted drug paraphernalia and suboxone. It was apparent that Manso had disposed of drugs during the process of the stop.
Stephanie M. Manso was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
* Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Suboxone
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Obstruction of Justice
*Speeding – 77 mph /55 mph
*Fugitive Warrant – Livingston Parish
