TRAFFIC STOP RESULTING IN FELONY DRUG POSSESSION WARRANTS – APOLLONIA K. KEY
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Apollonia K. Key, 39, of 2325 Tarain Drive, Decatur, Georgia, arising from a traffic stop dating back to December 5, 2021.
On the aforementioned date, Apollonia K. Key was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation on LA 398 west of Labadieville. At that time, Key was arrested on a warrant charging her with Failure to Appear in Assumption Parish. At the time of that arrest, Key was in possession of suspected Alprazolam (Xanax) and Hydrocodone tablets. Deputies attempted to determine if Key had a valid prescription for those drugs. It was determined that Key did not possess a valid prescription for the medications. However, at the time that determination was made, Apollonia K. Key had posted bond on the Failure to Appear Charge.
Deputies obtained arrest warrants charging Apollonia K. Key with the drug possession violations.
On October 9, 2025, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified that Apollonia K. Key was in the custody of the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office. Key was transferred to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on October 17, 2025.
Apollonia K. Key was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Hydrocodone
*Possession of Alprazolam (Xanax)
Apollonia K. Key remains incarcerated with bond set at $30,000.
