DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – FELONY

BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Bruce Knockum, 60, of 125 Jones Street, Napoleonville, LA, on felony drug charges arising out of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity.

During the course of this investigation, agents established that Bruce Knockum was engaging in illegal activity involving the distribution of narcotics.

Agents were able to establish probable cause sufficient to obtain a search warrant. On Wednesday, narcotics agents and the uniformed patrol division executed the search warrant upon the property locate at 125 Jones Street. As a result of the subsequent search, agents seized heroin, methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Bruce Knockum was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent Distribute
*Possession of Heroin
*Possession of drug Paraphernalia

Bruce Knockum remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
