TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

I.C.E ARRESTS

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Tanner Aaron Aucoin, 24, of Solars 182 East, Apt. 208, Morgan City, LA, Jordi Christen Boudreaux, 28, of 1210 Columbus Avenue, Morgan City, LA and Lawrence Alex Garret, 24, of 116 Railroad Alley, Gibson, LA and further reports charges against Jason Paul East, 46, of 3459 Second Street, Berwick, LA following a traffic stop near LA 662 and Cecilia Street in Bayou L’Ourse, LA.

An I.C.E. Unit, on assignment, observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on Monday afternoon and initiated a stop of the suspect vehicle.

Deputies made contact with the driver, now identified as Jason Paul East, and proceeded to conduct a violator/officer interview. The deputy noted the driver to be acting nervously. Deputies also noted vast movement inside the vehicle by the passengers and their activity was consistent with suspicious drug activity.

Based on cumulative circumstances, consent to search the vehicle was requested but denied. A K-9 was summoned to the scene and conducted an open-air sniff and alerted to multiple areas of the vehicle. A subsequent search yielded meth-amphetamine, marijuana, suboxone, synthetic marijuana, MDMA (Ecstasy) and assorted paraphernalia.

All suspects were detained at this time.

Following the completion of the investigation, the suspects were arrested and charges as follows:

Tanner Aaron Aucoin was booked on charges of:

*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth-Amphetamine
*Possession with Intent to distribute Synthetic Marijuana
*Possession of MDMA(Ecstasy)
*Possession of Suboxone

Lawrence Alex Garret was booked on charges of:

*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Synthetic Marijuana

Jordi Christen Boudreaux was booked on charges of:

*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine

The driver, Jason Paul East was issued a citation for Illegal Window Tint and a summons for Possession of Synthetic Marijuana and released.

Tanner Aaron Aucoin, Lawrence Alex Garret and Jordi Christen Boudreaux were all incarcerated in the Assumption Parish Detention Center and each await a bond proceeding.
