MONETARY INSTRUMENT ABUSE – COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Chad Evans Gros, 46, of 1183 Stephensville Road, Morgan City, La., on felony charges related to the use of counterfeit currency at a Pierre Part retail establishment.

On November 5, 2020, deputies responded to a call in which the business manager advised that an individual had presented a counterfeit $20 bill for payment of goods on November 4, 2020.

Deputies were able to identify Chad Evans Gros as the suspect individual and applied for warrants for his arrest.

Those warrants were approved.

Chad Evans Gros was incarcerated pending a bond hearing on charges of:
