DOMESTIC INCIDENT – LYNELL CHIVON ALLEN
FAILURE TO APPEAR – JOHNNY JAMES CANCIENNE
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Lynell Chivon Allen, 40, of 126 Park Avenue, Thibodaux, LA, on charges related to a continuing domestic matter.
On Saturday, deputies were dispatched to a Cody Lane address in reference to a domestic disturbance. While enroute, deputies were advised that one of the parties to the domestic disturbance, now identified as Lynell Chivon Allen had left the area. The responding deputies initiated a stop of the vehicle Allen was said to be a passenger in near Labadieville.
The vehicle was eventually stopped, and deputies made contact with the driver, now identified as Johnny James Cancienne, 51, of 3367 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA. Upon conducting a criminal records check, it was determined that Johnny James Cancienne was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court. Cancienne was arrested.
The deputies’ attention then turned to the occupant and subject of the domestic matter, Lynell Chivon Allen. Deputies were advised that Allen was wanted on criminal charges related to a June 5, 2022, domestic incident.
In that incident, Lynell Chivon Allen allegedly went to the residence of her former domestic partner, forced her way inside the home and physically attacked her former male partner causing noticeable injuries to him. As a result of the June 5, 2022, incident, deputies requested and were granted arrest warrants.
Lynell Chivon Allen was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Domestic Abuse Battery
*Home Invasion
*Violation of a Protective Order
Allen remains incarcerated with bond set at $75,000.
Johnny James Cancienne was booked on a warrant for:
*Failure to Appear – Driving While Intoxicated – Second Offense – Assumption Parish
Cancienne remains incarcerated in the Assumption Parish Detention Center without bond.
