DISTURBANCE – FIGHT
MURPHY LEE WESLEY, ASHLEY SHEWYAN GIROD, FIVE JUVENILES
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of two adults and five juveniles in connection to a fight in the 400 block of Philosopher Street in Napoleonville Tuesday evening.
Deputies responded to the location at which time a fight was in progress. The deputy intervened and at one point was struck by a juvenile suspect. As a result, three juvenile females were taken into custody.
Deputies continued their investigation and in doing so determined that two male suspects involved in the disturbance had forcefully entered the home where the fight occurred without authorization of the owner. Those two male suspects, one of which was an adult identified as Murphy Lee Wesley, 18, of 108 Marshall Lane, Napoleonville, were arrested after being stopped near Paincourtville.
As Deputies continued their investigation which included reviewing video footage at the home in question, the homeowner now identified as Ashley Shewyan Girod, 37, of 38182 Stanley Street, Prairieville, LA, was arrested.
At the conclusion of the investigation, the following suspects were arrested and charged as follows:
– Murphy Lee Wesley:
*Home Invasion
*Criminal Damage to Property
Murphy Lee Wesley remains in the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
– Ashley Shewyan Girod was charged with:
*Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles
Ashley Shewyan Girod was released on bond.
– Juvenile 1, age 17, charged by verified complaint with:
*Battery of a Police Officer
*Resisting an Officer
*Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
*Interfering with a Law-Enforcement Investigation
Juvenile 1 was ordered to be continued in custody.
– Juvenile 2, Age 15, was charged by verified complaint with:
*Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
*Resisting an Officer
Juvenile 2 was released to a guardian.
– Juvenile 3, age 15 was charged by verified complaint with:
*Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
*Resisting an Officer
Juvenile 3 was released to a guardian.
– Juvenile 4, age 16, was charged by verified complaint with:
*Home Invasion
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
Juvenile 4 was ordered to be continued in custody.
-Juvenile 5, age 16, was charged by verified complaint with:
*Aggravated Second Degree Battery
Juvenile 5 was ordered to be continued in custody.
During the incident, some individuals received minor injuries and were treated by medical personnel and released.
