INCIDENT – THREAT – PIERRE PART ELEMENTARY
PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports that on Wednesday morning, deputies and detectives responded to the Pierre Part Elementary School in reference to a threat against the school.
The school was immediately placed in lockdown mode and the facility was secured by the Sheriff’s Office and school personnel.
The threat was in the form of a note found in a restroom.
The entire school was searched, and every individual went through a metal detector. There were no findings of weapons.
The facility has returned to normal operation as detectives investigate the origin of the threat.
There were no acts in furtherance of the threat, and we believe the students, staff and facility are safe.
