FUGITIVE – ASCENSION PARISH, TRAFFIC INVESTIGATION

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of John V. Picciola, 55, of 16153 Highway 3235, Cut Off, LA, on a fugitive warrant from Ascension Parish.

On Monday evening, deputies responded to a local hospital along with Ascension Parish deputies who were investigating an injury accident that occurred in Ascension Parish.

Deputies made contact with an individual now identified as John V. Picciola. Upon interviewing the suspect, Picciola was identified as the driver involved in the accident in question.

John V. Picciola is accused of fleeing the jurisdiction of Ascension Parish and hours later, seeking medical treatment in Assumption Parish.

At the conclusion of the investigation and following the completion of medical treatment, John V. Picciola was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center as a fugitive from Ascension Parish.

John V. Picciola was then transferred to the custody of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office to face charges related to the accident in question.
