BANK FRAUD / IDENTITY THEFT
ALEKA D. THOMAS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Aleka D. Thomas, 31, of 1495 Ravier Lane, Sunshine, LA, on charges related to unauthorized financial transactions using the identify of someone else unlawfully.
On February 9, 2020, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint from an individual near Belle Rose who alleged that someone had used his identify to obtain goods and services.
Follow-up investigation by Sheriff’s detectives subsequently identified Aleka D. Thomas as the suspect. Thomas was known by the complainant.
Arrest warrants were obtained for Thomas and she was arrested on Sunday with the assistance of the St. Gabriel Police Department.
Aleka D. Thomas was transferred to the custody of Assumption parish and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Bank Fraud
*Identify Theft
Aleka Thomas posted bond and was released.
