CRIMINAL DAMAGE – CHANINTHORN JENICE CUNEY
BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Chaninthorn Jenice Cuney, 39, of 700 Henning Dr., Sulphur, LA, on charges related to an incident in Bertrandville on Friday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Bertrand Street in connection with the intentional damaging to a vehicle.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke to the complainant who advised a vehicle at the scene had been spray painted inside and outside. The complainant further advised the suspect had also struck the vehicle with her vehicle. The complainant provided a description of the suspect vehicle.
The investigating deputy located the suspect vehicle, occupied by a female nearby.
Upon coming into contact with the driver, the deputy noted the occupant to be irate. The female, now identified as Chaninthorn Jenice Cuney, was detained.
Based on the outcome of the investigation, Cuney was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Felony Criminal Damage to Property
*Hit and Run Driving
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
Chaninthorn Jenice Cuney remains incarcerated with bond set at $5,000.
