CRUELTY TO A JUVENILE WITH FORCE OR VIOLENCE

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Bethany O’Neal, 25, of 313 Aristle Road, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on charges related to physical abuse of a child.

On September 22, 2019, detectives were dispatched to a local healthcare facility in connection with a child being treated for injuries consistent with child abuse.

Through investigation, detectives were able to identify Bethany O’Neal as a suspect.

O’Neal was interviewed by detectives and made inculpatory statements.

Based on the medical evidence as well as statements made by O’Neal, detectives filed arrest warrants against her.

O’Neal turned herself into the Assumption Parish Detention Center at which time she was booked on charges of:

*Cruelty to a Juvenile with Force or Violence

O’Neal posted a $1,500 bond and was released.

The arrest occurred on Friday.
