DISTURBANCE / SECOND DEGREE BATTERY / SIMPLE BATTERY – VERONEASE MARIE STEWARD, KENNITA STEWARD, MONEKA LASHAY STEWARD
BELLE ROSE- Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Veronease Marie Steward, 34, of 140 Grisaffe Lane, Belle Rose, LA, Kennita Steward, 33, of 176 Peterville Lane, Belle Rose, LA and Moneka Lashay Steward 27, of 11010 Martin Road, Gonzales, LA on charges related to a disturbance on Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Grisaffe Lane. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with several complainants / witnesses who advised that a large fight had occurred, and individuals had gone onto their property and attacked them.
Deputies conducted an investigation and at its conclusion, filed charges against the following:
Veronease Marie Steward:
*Second Degree Battery
Veronease Marie Steward was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and remains incarcerated with bond set at $25,000.
Kennita Steward:
*Simple Battery
Kennita Steward was released on a recognizance bond.
Moneka Lashay Steward:
*Second Degree Battery
Moneka Lashay Steward remains incarcerated with bond set at $25,000.
Deputies issued an arrest warrant for Lashone Rene Steward, 29, of 149 Grisaffe Lane on charges of Second Degree Battery.
As a result of this incident, at least two people received medical treatment at nearby healthcare facilities.
This incident resulted from a prior confrontation on Wednesday.
