DOMESTIC ABUSE – AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

BELLE ROSE –Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Shandrika L. Scott, 30, of 165 Blackwell Lane, Belle Rose, La., on felony charges related to a domestic incident which occurred Monday morning near Belle Rose.

Deputies responded to a request from Acadian Ambulance at the aforementioned address in reference to a domestic incident with medical needs.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Shandrika L. Scott as well as the victim. An investigation revealed that the two parties had been involved in a relationship that deteriorated over the past couple of weeks.

There were circumstances which brought the two together at the location of this incident and resulted in a confrontation. That incident resulted in the victim being cut in the face by the suspect Shandrika L. Scott.

Based on all factors considered, Shandrika L. Scott was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Facility on charges of:

*Domestic Abuse – Aggravated Assault

Shandrika L. Scott remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
