DOMESTIC INCIDENT – DEWEY J. LANDRY

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dewey J. Landry, 81, of 1043 Highway 662, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on felony charges arising from an ongoing domestic situation.

On Monday, deputies responded to a complaint at a Morgan City healthcare facility in reference to an elderly female being examined for domestic related injuries.

Detectives initiated an investigation and interviewed the victim as well as the accused Dewey J. Landry.

Detectives determined that the alleged abuse was over a period of time. Investigators obtained information consistent with domestic abuse battery involving strangulation.

Dewey J. Landry was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

Dewey J. Landry remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
