DOMESTIC INCIDENT – DEMARIS J. MARSHALL
BELLE ROSE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Demaris J. Marshall, 44, of 2732 Lemonville Cut Off, Donaldsonville, LA, on felony charges arising from a domestic incident which occurred on April 7, 2022.
On the aforementioned date, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of LA 998 in Belle Rose in reference to a disturbance. Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that an argument occurred between her and Demaris J. Marshall. The argument became physical at some point and Demaris J. Marshall allegedly struck her in the face with an object and also physically grabbed her.
The deputy noted injuries to the complainant which supported her allegations. Additionally, Demaris J. Marshall allegedly shattered her cell phone.
During this incident, a minor child was present.
Demaris J. Marshall was gone prior to the investigating officer’s arrival.
Demaris J. Marshall turned himself into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Wednesday and was booked on charges of:
*Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
Demaris J. Marshall was incarcerated and released on a $20,000 bond.
