DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A CONVICTED FELON – TRAVANTI WILLIAMS

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Travanti Williams, 34, of 147 Violet Street, Labadieville, LA, on felony charges related to a domestic complaint.

On Friday afternoon, Sheriff’s detectives were contacted by a domestic abuse victim who indicated that she and Travanti Williams were associated domestically. On Friday, Williams was angry and made threatening gestures and statements directed towards the complainant. The victim stated that Travanti Williams was usually armed with a gun.

Deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Travanti Williams as well as a search warrant for his Violet Street address. During a search of the home, detectives recovered evidence in support of the complainant’s allegations.

Travanti Williams was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Domestic Abuse – Aggravated Assault
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Travanti Williams remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
