DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
WILLARD E. YOUNG, CHARLES MICHAEL RATCLIFF

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Willard E. Young, Jr., 33, of 195 Virginia Street, Paincourtville, LA and the issuing of summonses to Charles Michael Ratcliff, 34, 127 Fairlane Drive, Gray, LA near Napoleonville, LA.

Deputies responded to a careless driver complaint, located the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Charles Michael Ratcliff. The deputy then made contact with the passenger and interviewed both.

The deputy noted behavior consistent with illegal drug activity and requested consent to search the vehicle of which was granted. During the search process, deputies seized quantities of marijuana, MDMA (Ecstasy) and cocaine which were attributed to Willard E. Young, Jr.

Willard E. Young, Jr. was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Cocaine
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)

Willard E. Young, Jr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.

Charles Michael Ratcliff was released after being issued summonses for driving under suspension and failure to secure registration.
