EQUIPMENT VIOLATION – DRUG LAW VIOLATION
ARDIS LAINE LOVELL, ANGELENA JEANETTE ARNOLD
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Ardis Laine Lovell, 39 and Angelena Jeanette Arnold, 40, both of 1151 Church Street, Houma, LA on felony charges arising out of a vehicle stop due to an equipment violation.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and executed a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, Arnold Charles, and proceeded with an officer / violator interview. The deputy then made contact with both passengers, Angelena Jeanette Arnold and Ardis Laine Lovell. The deputy asked both passengers to step out the vehicle and upon doing so the deputy noticed several factors which led him to believe that additional investigation was warranted.
A K-9 was called to the scene and conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle which alerted positive for narcotics. At that time methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle which were attributed to Arnold and Lovell.
Ardis Laine Lovell and Angelena Jeanette Arnold were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

– Possession or Distribution of Drug Paraphernalia
– Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine (Felony)
– Obstruction of Justice
*As to Angelena Jeanette Arnold:
– Possession or Distribution of Drug Paraphernalia
– Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine (Felony)
– Obstruction of Justice
Ardis Laine Lovell and Angelena Jeanette Arnold remain incarcerated with bonds set at $20,000 each.
Charles Arnold was cited for:
*Expired Driver’s License
*Expired or Cancelled License Plate
