TRESPASSING – OBSTRUCTION – SHAN MICHAEL PERERA

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Shan Michael Perera, 47, of 4171 Highway 208, Napoleonville, LA on a felony obstruction charge.

A uniform patrol deputy observed a motorcycle being operated on private property in violation of posted no trespassing notices. The deputy made contact with the motorcycle operator, Shan Michael Perera and engaged in an officer / violator interview.

While the deputy was conducting a criminal history check, the deputy noticed Shan Michael Perera to remove an item from his pocket believed to contain illegal narcotics which he discarded.

Shan Michael Perera was then arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on the following charges:

*Criminal Trespass
*Operating Vehicle with a Suspended License; Other offenses
*Obstruction of Justice – Destruction / Damage / Vandalism (Felony)

Shan Michael Perera remains incarcerated with bond set at $1,000.
