FAILURE TO APPEAR – FELONY CASE REVIEW, DEAN E. HUE, JR.
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dean E. Hue, Jr. for failure to appear for court ordered review on felony charges.
Dean E. Hue, Jr. had previously pled guilty to charges of Cruelty to the Infirmed and was ordered to appear in court on December 22, 2021 for a review and to begin serving a 6 ½ year sentence. Hue failed to appear as ordered and fled the jurisdiction resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.
The Sheriff’s Office received information indicating Hue was hiding out at a Baton Rouge hotel.
Sheriff Leland Falcon contacted Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul and requested assistance in apprehending Dean E. Hue, Jr.
On Thursday, Chief Paul dispatched the Baton Rouge Police Department Violent Crimes Unit who swiftly located and arrested Dean E. Hue, Jr.
On Friday, Dean E. Hue, Jr. was booked into the APDC on a warrant for:
• Failure to Appear for Review and Execution of Sentence – Cruelty to the Infirmed
Dean E. Hue, Jr. is to begin serving a 6 ½ year sentence with the Department of Corrections.
