TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS, CHAD MICHAEL CANNELLA
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Chad Michael Cannella, 39, of 5757 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges arising from a Friday evening traffic stop near LA. 308 and Daggs St. in Paincourtville.
The deputy initiated a stop of the violator vehicle and made contact with the driver now identified as Chad Michael Cannella. The deputy engaged Cannella into an officer/violator interview and noticed Cannella’s statements to be contradictory and further noted Cannella to appear nervous and not able to follow simple instructions.
The deputy concluded the interview and conducted a protective pat down search of Cannella and did seize a vial of suspected anabolic steroids.
Chad Michael Cannella was arrested and booked into the APDC on charges of:
- Possession of Steroids
- Resisting an Officer
- Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
Chad Michael Cannella remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
