OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE / CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELINQUENCY OF A JUVENILE – CHANTELLE WILLIAMS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Chantelle Williams, 42, of 308 St. Mary Street, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges arising from the case of a missing juvenile.
On July 02, 2023, deputies responded to a complaint of a missing juvenile from the Bertrandville area. The complainant advised that her adopted 15-year-old son had left the family home through a bedroom window. The mother suspected immediately that the juvenile had gone to the residence of his biological mother at 308 St. Mary Street.
From the initiation of the investigation, Sheriff’s Office Officials came into contact with the biological mother, now identified as Chantelle Williams, on several occasions. Chantelle Williams consistently stated she did not know the whereabouts of the juvenile.
On July 05, 2023, the adopted parents contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report the whereabouts of their missing son. The juvenile was located by deputies.
Detectives were able to prove that the missing juvenile had been with Chantelle Williams on multiple occasions between July 02, 2023 and July 05, 2023, all of which she denied.
At the conclusion of the investigation, warrants were obtained for the arrest of Chantelle Williams.
An I.C.E. assigned deputy arrested Williams on Thursday evening and booked her into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Obstruction of Justice
*Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile
Chantelle Williams remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
The juvenile was released to his adopted parents.
