ASSUMPTION – We are receiving reports of an ongoing scam which targets grandparents, similar to one we’ve seen in the past.

Scam callers contact persons and advise them that their grandchild has been involved in an accident and needs money. In many of these cases, the caller either represents themselves as the grandchild or on occasion, puts someone else on the line and that person represents themselves to be the grandchild.

We urge all residents not to send money where instructed, but to terminate the call.
