SHOOTING INCIDENT
JERAMEY A. JOHNSON, SHAQUILLE STARKS
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jeramey A. Johnson, 39, of 109 Polk Street, Houma, LA on multiple felony charges arising from a shooting incident that occurred on July 22, 2021 in the areas of Willow and Maple Street in Labadieville.
On the aforementioned date deputies were dispatched to the area and determined that two male subjects had been shot. Both survived their injuries.
Detectives initiated an investigation which resulted in one of the shooting victims being arrested on felony drug charges.
Shaquille Thomas Starks, 27, of 405 Maple Street, Labadieville, LA, was arrested on January 15, 2022 on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Marijuana
Starks was later convicted on the methamphetamine charge.
As a result of continued investigation, detectives applied for and were granted arrest warrants for Jeramey A. Johnson on November 12, 2021 however Johnson had fled the area shortly after the incident.
Jeramey A. Johnson was arrested on Monday in Napoleonville and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Attempted Second Degree Murder
*Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
*Illegal Use of Weapons and Dangerous Instrumentalities
*Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Jeramey A. Johnson remains incarcerated with bond set at $225,000.
