SIMPLE BURGLARY
CLAUDE MOSES CHARLOT, III

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Claude Moses Charlot, III., 27, of 329 Susan Drive, Morgan City, La., on felony burglary charges resulting from a December 25, 2019 incident in Bayou L’Ourse.

Deputies responded to a reported residential burglary off of LA 662 shortly after the incident.

At that time, deputies conducted an initial investigation and determined that specifically, tools had been stolen in the burglary of the home after forced entry had been made.

A follow-up investigation resulted in Claude Moses Charlot, III and Madison Gonteski, 21, of 1007 Tall Timbers Drive, Patterson, La., being identified as suspects.

Gonteski was arrested a short time following the incident.

Claude Moses Charlot, III was arrested shortly after the incident by Morgan City Police and has remained in their custody on separate charges until Tuesday.

Claude Moses Charlot was transported to Assumption Parish on Tuesday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

Claude Moses Charlot, III remains incarcerated with a bond set at $15,000.
