SIMPLE BURGLARY / MOTOR VEHICLE – 5 COUNTS

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Darius Anthony Lassere, 18, of 1475 Magnolia Heights, Vacherie, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from a series of vehicle burglaries which were committed south of the Belle Rose area on or about February 25, 2026.

On February 26, 2026, deputies and detectives responded to complaints of five (5) vehicle burglaries all committed in the vicinity of LA 1 and Virginia Street.

Upon arrival, detectives initiated an investigation after residents in the area filed criminal complaints alleging that their vehicle had been burglarized.

Detectives were able to access video surveillance and as a result, Darius Anthony Lassere was identified as a suspect.

Detectives secured arrest warrants for Lassere.

Darius Anthony Lassere was located near Labadieville and taken into custody.

Darius Anthony Lassere was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

Simple Burglary / Motor Vehicle – 5 Counts

Darius Anthony Lassere remains incarcerated with his bond set at $100,000.
