SUSPICIOUS PERSON COMPLAINT
ROBERT WILLIAM SEYMOUR, JAMES ALFORD OGLESBY, III
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Robert William Seymour, 50, of 59182 Birch Street, Plaquemine, LA, and the issuing of multiple summonses to James Alford Oglesby, III, 41, of 62505 Bayou Road, Plaquemine, LA, following the investigation of a suspicious person complaint at a location off of LA 308 near Labadieville.
Deputies were dispatched to the area on Monday afternoon and were provided a suspect description. Deputies made contact with James Alford Oglesby, III. At the time, Oglesby was located, he advised he was part of a work crew on a job nearby. In the interest of the officer / violator safety, the deputy conducted a pat down search of Oglesby and that resulted in the seizure of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The investigating deputy then went to the referenced job site at which time contact was made with a second member of that work crew, now identified as Robert William Seymour. The deputy learned through a criminal records check that Seymour was wanted on a Department of Corrections warrant for a probation violation.
At the conclusion of this investigation, Robert William Seymour was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Probation Violation (Felony) Louisiana Department of Corrections
Seymour remains incarcerated without bond.
James Alford Oglesby, III was cited for:
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Oglesby was released and ordered to appear in court.
