THIRD DEGREE RAPE – LANCE SANCHEZ
SEXUAL BATTERY – IRA WAYNE LILES, III

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Ira Wayne Liles, III, 34 of 1603 Highway 402, Napoleonville, LA and Lance Sanchez, 34, also of 1603 Highway 402, Napoleonville, LA, on felony sex crimes violations resulting from an October 27, 2019 incident which allegedly occurred at the same address.

On that date, deputies responded to an alcoholic beverage retail outlet near Napoleonville in connection with a reported rape. The complainant advised he left the bar with Lance Sanchez to go to a “party” at another location. Upon arrival, the victim advised that suspect Lance Sanchez proceeded to perform sexual acts upon the victim without his consent. Shortly thereafter, Ira Wayne Liles, III, is accused of committing a sexual battery upon the victim.

DNA analysis samples were obtained from both suspects and a rape assault examination was performed on the victim.

Upon receiving crime lab results on the various testings, detectives secured arrest warrants for Lance Sanchez and Ira Wayne Liles, III.

Ira Wayne Liles III was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Charges of:

*Sexual Battery

Lance Sanchez was arrested Tuesday and booked on charges of:

*Third Degree Rape.

Both suspects were incarcerated in the Assumption Parish Detention Center.

Liles’ bond was set at $75,000.

Sanchez awaits a bond hearing.
