TRAFFIC / DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
ALIZANTE MARIE PATTERSON and TORRAINNO JARVIS
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Alizante Marie Patterson, 20, of 187 Grisaffe Lane, Belle Rose, LA and Torrainno Jarvis, 28, of 152 Pecan Street, Napoleonville, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop early Friday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Alizante Marie Patterson and one passenger, Torrainno Jarvis. The stop was conducted near Paincourtville, LA.
The deputy summoned a K-9 unit to the scene of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of an illegal controlled substance.
During a subsequent vehicle search, a quantity of suspected marijuana was recovered.
Both suspects, Alizante Marie Patterson and Torrainno Jarvis were arrested.
Alizante Marie Patterson was charged on counts of:
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Speeding – 70/55 MPH Zone
*Failure to Appear – Hit and Run
*Fugitive Warrant
Torrainno Jarvis was booked on a single charge of:
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
Both Alizante Marie Patterson and Torrainno J. Jarvis remain incarcerated pending bond proceedings.
