TRAFFIC INCIDENT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
DENNIS PENA MOLIZONE
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dennis Pena Molizone, 40, of 15249 Meadow Lane, Prairieville, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on Saturday evening near Napoleonville.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a southbound vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy conducted an officer / violator interview at which time the driver was identified as Dennis Pena Molizone. During the interview, the deputy noted several factors consistent with illegal drug activity. At the conclusion of the interview, the deputy decided that additional investigation was warranted.
A K-9 unit was summoned to the scene and conducted an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle and alerted positive to the presence of illegal narcotics.
A subsequent search of that vehicle yielded a quantity of amphetamine tablets and marijuana.
Dennis Pena Molizone was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription
*Possession of Marijuana
*Speeding, 68 MPH / 55 MPH
Dennis Pena Molizone was released upon posting a bond of $10,000.
