FAILURE TO REGISTER AND NOTIFY AS A SEX OFFENDER
BRENT JOSEPH CHIASSON, JR.

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Brent Joseph Chiasson, Jr., 24, of 1008 Belle River Road, Pierre Part, LA, on charges of Failing to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender and or Child Predator.

Brent Joseph Chiasson was arrested previously on charges of Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile and subsequently was convicted of a sex offense requiring registration as a Tier I sex offender. As such, Brent Joseph Chiasson, Jr. was ordered to comply with the registration requirements for sex offender and failed to do so. As a result, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Chiasson.

Brent Joseph Chiasson, Jr. was arrested in Pierre Part on Wednesday afternoon and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender and / or Child Predator.

Brent Joseph Chiasson remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
