TRAFFIC INCIDENT – FELONY DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
BARON JOSEPH KNOCKUM, SPENCER JOSEPH – I.C.E. ARRESTS
BELLE ROSE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Baron Joseph Knockum, 56, of 41149 Hwy. 42, Prairieville, LA and Spencer Joseph, 63, of 171 Frank Lane, Belle Rose, LA, on multiple charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 308 near Belle Rose early Thursday morning.
A uniformed patrol deputy on assignment to the I.C.E. Unit observed a north bound vehicle commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of that vehicle. Contact with the driver, now identified as Baron Joseph Knockum. The deputy initiated an officer / violator interview. The deputy also conducted an interview of the passenger identified as Spencer Joseph. At the conclusion of those interviews, the deputy concluded that additional investigation was warranted.
The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. As a result of that search, a quantity of crack cocaine was seized and attributed to both occupants.
Baron Joseph Knockum was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Crack Cocaine
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
*Driver Must be Licensed
*Headlights Required
*Failure to Dim Headlights
Baron Joseph Knockum remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Spencer Joseph was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Crack Cocaine
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Resisting an Officer
*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on Charges of: Possession of
Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting
an Officer – Cash only bond set at $536.00.
Spencer Joseph remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing on the other charges.
