SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE – VILLAGE OF NAPOLEONVILLE

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Tyrel Marshall, 22, of 10151 Curran Road, New Orleans, LA and Jules Meredith, III, 19, of 4700 Marjorie Lane, New Orleans, LA, on multiple felony charges after deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Franklin Street in Napoleonville.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the driver, now identified as Jules Meredith, III and initiated an interview of that subject. The deputy then made contact with the passenger identified as Tyrel Marshall. During the process of interviewing those subjects, the deputy noted a strong odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the suspect vehicle.

At the conclusion of the interviews, the deputy believed that additional investigation was warranted. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of marijuana, assorted drug paraphernalia, multiple doses of MDMA, a large caliber firearm and two facemasks.

Tyrel Marshall is a prior convicted felon. Tyrel Marshall was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of MDMA
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Stopping, Standing, or Parking Outside Business or Residences
*Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm
*Possession of Tools for a Crime
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
*Simple Littering

Jules Meredith, III was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Stopping, Standing or Parking Outside Business or Residence
*Possession of Tools for a Crime
*Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm
*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
*Simple Littering
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession of Marijuana

Both Tyrel Gilbert Marshall and Jules Meredith, III remain incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
