TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOALTIONS
JAYSON ALLEN DALE DUET – I.C.E. ARREST

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jayson Allen Dale Duet, 41, of 340 N. Holley Road, Labadieville, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic incident on LA 398 west of Labadieville, LA, on Saturday evening.

A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. The deputy initiated a stop of the vehicle and made contact with the driver, now identified as Jayson Allen Dale Duet and engaged Duet into an officer / violator interview.

At the conclusion of that interview as well as a second interview of a passenger, the deputy observed behavior consistent with illegal drug activity.

The deputy summoned a K-9 to the location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of dangerous controlled substances. A subsequent search of the suspect vehicle resulted in the seizure of a quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Jayson Allen Dale Duet was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Illegal Use of Controlled Dangerous Substances in the Presence of Persons Under 17
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Child Passenger Restraint System
*Tail Lamps Required

Jayson Allen Dale Duet remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
