TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION
RONALD DURELL JOHNSON
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ronald Durell Johnson, 36, of 3372 Back Marais Street, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges arising from a traffic incident near Coleman Johnson Street, south of Napoleonville on Tuesday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and the deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Ronald Durell Johnson.
The deputy initiated an officer / violator interview and at some point, Ronald Durell Johnson became non-compliant. As the interview continued, the deputy attempted to detain Ronald Durell Johnson and the suspect resisted those efforts. Ronald Durell Johnson was eventually arrested. During a pat down search, Ronald Durell Johnson was found to be in possession of Oxycodone.
Ronald Durell Johnson was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Oxycodone
*Resisting an Officer
*Stopping, Standing, or Parking Outside of a Business or Residence
Ronald Durell Johnson remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
