TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION
JERICA JANA WINSTON, CHARLES DAGGS, JR.
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jerica Jana Winston, 32, of 3282 Back Marais Road, Napoleonville, LA on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on Tuesday morning south of Napoleonville.
Deputies observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. Deputies made contact with the driver, now identified as Charles Daggs, Jr., 67, of 125 Coleman Johnson Street, Napoleonville, LA.
It was determined that Daggs’ driver’s license was suspended. At the conclusion of the interview, agents believed that additional investigation was warranted. Agents requested consent to search the vehicle which was granted.
During the search, a quantity of MDMA (Ecstasy) was seized and subsequently attributed to Jerica Jana Winston. She was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
Jerica Jana Winston posted a commercial bond of $35,000 on Thursday and was released.
Charles Daggs, Jr, was cited for:
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Illegal Window Tint
*No Seat Belt
*Expired License Plate
*License Plate Obscured
Charles Daggs, Jr. was released with a court date.
