TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION – I.C.E. ARREST

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kenny Lacy, 45, of 184 Highway 401, Napoleonville, LA, on drug and traffic related offenses arising from a traffic stop in Napoleonville on Wednesday.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of the vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Kenny Lacy and conducted an officer / violator interview. During a driver’s license check, the deputy determined that Kenny Lacy was driving with a suspended driver’s license.
At the conclusion of the interview, the deputy believed that additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. During that search, multiple doses of MDMA were seized.
Kenny Lacy was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Obstruction to Driver’s View or Driver Mechanism
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
Kenny Lacy remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
