TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
ARON PATRICK THOMSON, ZORA MICHELLE BOURGEOIS
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Aron Patrick Thomson, 36, of 631A East 1st Street, Thibodaux, LA and Zorah Michelle Bourgeois, 26, of 846 Highway 304, Thibodaux, LA, on felony drug charges following a traffic stop north of Labadieville.
Uniformed patrol officers observed a vehicle commit dual traffic violations on Violet Street and initiated a stop of the vehicle. The passenger, now identified as Aron Patrick Thomson, exited the vehicle and made contact with the deputy. The passenger was detained and some illegal substances were seized during a protective pat down search.
Upon the deputy coming into contact with the driver, now identified as Zorah Michelle Bourgeois, it was noted that the violator was extremely disoriented and evasive.
A K-9 unit was summoned to the scene and conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle. The K-9 alerted to specific areas of the interior vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded quantities of illegal narcotics and assorted paraphernalia.
Based on the totality of circumstances, both suspects were arrested.
Aron Patrick Thomson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Klonopin (Clonazepam)
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Possession of Marijuana (Third Offense-Felony)
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Upon processing Thomson into the jail, he was found to possess contraband in body cavity areas. Thomson was additionally booked on a count of:
*Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution
Thomson was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Zorah Michelle Bourgeois was booked on counts of:
*Possession of Klonopin (Clonazepam)
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Turning Movement and Signals Required
*No Insurance
*Disregarded Stop Sign
Bourgeois was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
