TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – SCOTT JASON FRICKIE
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Scott Jason Frickie, 48, of 143 Magnolia Street, Houma, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from a traffic stop early Saturday morning in Labadieville.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on LA 398 and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Scott Jason Frickie and engaged into an officer / violator interview. At the conclusion of that interview, the deputy believed additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. During the search process, quantities of methamphetamine and Xanax were recovered as well as assorted drug paraphernalia.
Scott Jason Frickie was arrested and transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center for booking. During a more invasive personal search, deputies seized additional methamphetamine from Frickie’s person.
Scott Jason Frickie was booked on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Takin Contraband to / from a Penal Institution
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Xanax (Alprazolam)
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Cellular Telephone Use / Prohibited
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
Scott Jason Frickie remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
