TRAFFIC INCIDENT – DRUG / GUN LAW VIOLATIONS
WILLIAM WALTER DUROCHER, III
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of William Walter Durocher, III, 42, of 219 Choctaw Road, Thibodaux, LA on multiple felony charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 70 Spur on Saturday morning.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as William Walter Durocher, III and engaged Durocher into an officer / violator interview.
Following that interview, the deputy conducted a walk-around inspection of the vehicle and observed a quantity of methamphetamine inside of the vehicle.
A search of that vehicle resulted in the seizure of three handguns, multiple doses of Lysergic Acid (LSD), suspected marijuana, multiple doses of Gabapentin and assorted drug paraphernalia.
William Walter Durocher, III was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of LSD
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
(3 Counts)
*Sale, Distribution or Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription or Order
Prohibited
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Tail Lamps Required
William Walter Durocher remains incarcerated with bond set at $375,000.
