TRAFFIC STOP, DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
JAMIAH DERON HARRIS, ISAIAH SKIPPER, RONALD JOSEPH VALLEJO
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Ronald Joseph Vallejo, 28, of 187 Violet Street, Labadieville, LA and Jason Isaiah Skipper, 19, of 4510 Larry Street, Napoleonville, LA, on drug law violations following a traffic stop near Napoleonville, LA.
On Saturday, an I.C.E. Division deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and proceeded to stop the vehicle.
The deputy identified the driver as Jamiah Deron Harris, 27, of 139-B Violet Street, Labadieville, LA. The deputy noted two passengers, namely, Ronald Joseph Vallejo and Isaiah Skipper.
The deputy noted a strong odor of suspected marijuana. After talking to the driver, the deputy proceeded to speak to the other two suspects.
Upon asking Vallejo to exit the car, the suspect did so but was unruly and at one point attempted to run. The deputy and a second officer engaged in a struggle while trying to subdue Vallejo. While conducting a search of Vallejo’s person, a substantial amount of MDMA (Ecstasy) was seized.
Deputies then proceeded to interview Jamiah Deron Harris and as a result of that interview, a quantity of marijuana and synthetic marijuana was seized. Deputies also located a substantial amount of U.S. currency.
Ronald Joseph Vallejo was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession with Intent to Distribute MDMA (Ecstasy)
*Resisting an Officer with Force or Violence (2 Counts)
*Fugitive Warrants from Lafourche Parish
Vallejo was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Jason Isaiah Skipper was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
Skipper was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Jamiah Deron Harris was issued a misdemeanor summons for Driving Under Suspension and released.
