TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
COREY MICHAEL GROS, KAILEN KATHERINE LANDRY
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Corey Michael Gros, 39 of 6725 Highway 1001, Belle Rose, La. and Kailen Katherine Landry, 36, of 676 Highway 70 South, Belle Rose, La., on felony drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday evening near Belle Rose.
An I.C.E. assigned unit observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations and initiated a stop of the violator. Upon doing so, the driver was identified as Corey Michael Gros and one passenger as Kailen Katherine Landry.
During the interview process, deputies noted factors consistent with illegal drug activity.
It was also discovered that an outstanding warrant existed for Corey Michael Gros for failure to appear in court in Assumption Parish for theft.
During the investigative process, a quantity of meth-amphetamine and drug paraphernalia was seized and attributed to both Gros andLandry. Both were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Facility as follows:
*Corey Michael Gros
-Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-No License Plate Light
-Impeding Traffic
-Flight from an Officer
-Illegal Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous
Substances
-Failure to Appear (Theft)
Corey Michael Gros was incarcerated with a bond set at $50,000.
*Kailen Katherine Landry was charges with:
-Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Kailen Katherine Landry was incarcerated with a bond set at $20,000.
